Coronation Street spoilers: Roy undertakes an emotional mission to change a life

As he works to help Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) get back on her feet, beloved Roy Cropper (David Neilson) on Coronation Street is still committed to helping others.

Roy is known for taking under his wing those that are having problems. He has supported others over the years like Becky (Katherine Kelly), Carla (Alison King), and Shona (Julia Goulding), wanting to make a difference in their lives.

Roy most recently offered Lauren a place to stay when he discovered she planned to sleep on the streets.

After spending some time with Griff’s (Michael Condron) extremist group, Lauren just returned to the cobbles.

Despite her best efforts, Lauren has found it difficult to deal with her feelings as she watches ex-boyfriend Max (Paddy Bever) spend time with Sabrina (Luana Santos).

Lauren informed Roy that she didn’t want the job at the café after another awkward interaction with Max because it would be too embarrassing to live in Weatherfield so close to Max.

Roy offered Lauren a place to stay the night at his apartment so she wouldn’t have to sleep on the streets, but a disturbed Lauren misinterpreted Roy and believed he wanted to have sex with her in return.

As Max begins his new work at the salon, David (Jack P Shepherd) advises him to avoid Lauren at all costs.

Roy is currently speaking with Lauren about calling social services, who can assist in finding Lauren a place to reside.

would Roy accept Lauren’s insistence that she would resolve her issues on her own?

Or will he keep thinking of new methods to assist?
