Coronation Street spoilers: Paul calls off reunion with Billy amid crash horror

In this evening’s episode of Coronation Street, we really wanted to see Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) and Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) find true love, but sadly, it was not to be.

Billy decided that it was time to go out and acquire what he really wanted: Paul, after speaking with Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) in the café.

He went to the builder’s yard and wore his heart on his sleeve, but Paul pushed him away, telling him it would be best if they stayed friends.

The problem? After what occurred with Mike, Billy had made a great deal about not being able to trust Todd, and he couldn’t be with someone he couldn’t trust.

Nonetheless, viewers will be aware that Paul, not Todd, was the one who attacked Mike. Todd merely accepted responsibility to spare his pal from serving time in jail.

Paul felt as though he couldn’t pursue a relationship with Billy despite knowing that he was the real culprit.

Later in the episode, Carla (Alison King) in the Underworld truck knocked Paul off of a motorcycle, which caused everything to alter.

He was brought to the hospital, bandaged, and then sent back home.

Billy and Paul were left to talk about their emotions once more when they returned to the apartment while still dazed from the accident’s shock.

This time, tensions rose, and they ultimately locked lips.

This didn’t last long, though, as Paul once more changed his mind, shooing Billy away and adamantly denying his ability to make a commitment to him.

Will they ever work things out and formally acknowledge their feelings for one another?
