This week on Coronation Street, Joseph Brown (William Flanagan) goes missing when his father Chesney (Sam Aston) goes behind his back.
Chesney has no idea that the young boy is having difficulties.
He reminds his father that he needs money for a school trip – and a new school jumper – in Monday’s (January 10) installment of the ITV serial drama.
However, Chesney and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) are unable to purchase the items in issue due to a lack of funds, which Joseph later informs Hope about (Isabella Flanagan).
Hope resolves to take matters into her own hands and steals Fiz Stape’s (Jennie McAlpine) handbag, which she then gives to her cousin!
Will Joseph steal the money after he sees it? Is he going to return it?
That remains to be seen, but as the week goes, his problems worsen, and it’s soon revealed that he’s being tormented at school because Gemma and Chesney can’t afford to buy him stuff.
Chesney interrogates his kid about the bullies and advises him to speak with his teacher. Joseph, on the other hand, insists on him not doing so, claiming that it will only make things worse.
Despite Joseph’s protests, Chesney attends the school, making Joseph enraged.
Chesney then feels terrible about betraying his son’s confidence and goes out to apologize, only to discover that Joseph is nowhere to be found.
The police would be summoned in later scenes as the residents of the street rally to discover the missing kid.
Will Joseph be all right?
