Coronation Street spoilers: Grim death confirmed as a murder unfolds

In the episode of Coronation Street airing on Wednesday, April 12, Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) was extremely agitated after learning that Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) was considering leaving Underworld in order to work for Rufus (Steven Meo).

Of course, Rufus is the shady businessman who is fully aware that Stephen drugged Carla (Alison King).

Rufus has chosen to blackmail Stephen because he knows he can demand anything because, with the dissolution of his marriage, he actually has nothing to lose.

Rufus was successful in forcing Stephen into a corner by demanding 50% of the earnings, which greatly heightened Stephen’s rage.

Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown), who lived at the Bailey home, was aggravating Michael by remarking that he doesn’t make enough money to pay for a deposit and move out.

In light of this, Michael decided he deserved better than his current position at the plant and encouraged Stephen to quit his job, telling him he would soon be leaving to work with Rufus anyhow.

Rufus was at his opulent home enjoying a drink when Stephen started to lose control of the situation. Rufus was unaware that Paul (Peter Ash) had broken into the property to steal his automobile.

There was a knock on the door after Paul left.

When Stephen appeared on the other side, Rufus responded and appeared startled. We know that Stephen will kill Rufus in order to prevent the truth from coming out.

Unaware of what was happening, Michael arrived to meet with Rufus as well, but when he knocked on the door, he was a little perplexed by the loud music that was playing and had to leave a message.

We remain skeptical since this isn’t the first time Michael has been in Stephen’s vicinity before or after a murder has occurred. Will Michael eventually become entangled in Stephen’s perverse universe?

Or will he eventually become the next victim?
