Coronation Street spoilers: Fears for Jenny Connor as she’s rushed to hospital

Sally Ann Matthews’ character Jenny Connor, who was getting ready to travel to Canada with her lover Leo Thompkins, was pleased to recruit Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Preener) (Joe Frost).

Leo is dead, as Coronation Street viewers are aware, but Jenny thinks he has simply left Weatherfield without her. She accepts that she will have to remain on the cobbles, but she begins to worry that Glenda wants to take over as landlord of Rovers Return.

In forthcoming episodes, Glenda shows up at the bar all glammed up and prepared to emcee the quiz.

However, when Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) announces that Jenny is feeling better and will be hosting instead, she is left indignant.

Glenda resumes her regular responsibilities, which include cleaning the floor.

Later, Jenny trips over on Glenda’s freshly scrubbed floor, twisting her ankle.

Daisy asserts that Jenny needs to go to the hospital to be examined, despite Jenny’s insistence that she can proceed with the quiz.

Glenda enthusiastically grabs the microphone as Jenny stumbles out of the Rovers Return, thrilled to be hosting once more.

When Daisy and Jenny come back, they learn that Glenda’s quiz was a huge hit with the neighborhood and that the landlady is devastated.

Jenny is instructed to take it easy and avoid strenuous activity, so she is unable to mingle with the regulars at the bar.

Jenny reveals to Daisy that she thinks the newcomer planned her accident because she is upset with how Glenda has filled her shoes.

Will Glenda be successful in stealing the Rovers from Jenny?

If Jenny lost both her lover and the bar she has called home for years, it would undoubtedly be a blow to her.

Fortunately, she could find solace in the murderer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce), who had hinted that her character might fall for his con.

“I think Stephen is certainly paying a lot of attention to Jenny, and that is making her feel good,” she said.

She isn’t ready for a relationship, but Stephen’s presence might be enough. It reminds me of Leo after Johnny passed away.

“I believe that’s the biggest thing for Jenny,” Leo said, “that Leo was there a lot and just kept coming back and being a constant.”

Jenny would hold herself accountable for not pursuing a connection with Leo right away, Sally predicted.

She decides to start dating Stephen since she doesn’t want to lose Stephen as someone to comfort her for this reason.

Sally told Digital Spy that “[He] is being there, being courteous and sensitive and all of those things.”

She may just say, “Do you know what? I might just jump in wearing my size 9s instead of what I did the last time. The future? “
