Ruxandra Porojnicu, who plays Alina Pop in Coronation Street, may be leaving the show because her relationship with greedy Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) is crumbling.
The actress has been posting photos and social media posts of herself spending time with the group, as well as implying that it was a pleasure working with them in the past.
Another photo showed her holding a large bouquet of flowers, fueling rumors that she has held a farewell party and that filming has come to an end.
While fans on Twitter and Instagram speculated about whether she had quit the show, she kept mum on the subject, and it’s entirely possible she was just hanging out with friends.
When Metro.co.uk contacted Coronation Street, they had no reaction.
After her return, Alina has been at the center of significant events this year. Tyrone, who was going through a mid-life crisis, was drawn to her.
He ended up leaving Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) to pursue a relationship with Alina, but with the family split, significant issues arose as Hope retaliated against Alina by setting fire to her home, nearly killing her.
As a result, Alina miscarried her baby, causing even more pain and strain on an already strained relationship.
Tyrone has displayed symptoms of jealousy since Fiz has moved on, and Alina is concerned that he still has feelings for his ex-girlfriend.
Tyrone’s inability to offer Alina the devotion she deserves has left many outraged with the way he has handled both Alina and Fiz.
With Alina and Tyrone’s relationship on the rocks, it’s understandable that Alina would leave the Street – especially after she suggested a trip to Romania after Tyrone unintentionally proposed.
