In tonight’s episode of Coronation Street, Abi Webster (Sally Carman) was thrown out of her home.
Debbie (Sue Devaney), Abi’s sister-in-law, handed her the morning paper and expressed her displeasure with the front page spread showing Abi as the mother who abandoned her surprise newborn baby last week.
Despite the fact that she was now aware of Abi’s one-night fling, Debbie seemed adamant that baby Alfie was Kevin’s (Michael Le Vell). But we digress — the point is that Abi’s recent activities had become the talk of Weatherfield.
Abi, on the other hand, was more concerned about getting to the hospital for her son Alfie’s bowel surgery, and when Kevin arrived to offer his support, she sobbed in his arms.
Kev was persuaded by Abi’s claim that she had cheated on Seb’s father, Tez (Stephen Lord), so she pretended her baby was his while keeping silent about Imran Habeeb’s (Charlie de Melo) involvement.
Kevin proposed that Abi stay at the house while her custody fight was proceeding when a nurse informed them that Alfie was healing well.
He eventually had to confront his son Jack (Kyran Bowes) about Abi’s betrayal, which was a difficult assignment. Jack was enraged and refused to stay at home with Abi.
Despite the complicated scenario, Kevin kept his word provided Abi could stay drug-free.
When Abi mistaken Kevin’s compassion for affection and moved in for a kiss, she was humiliated.
Kevin made it plain that their marriage was finished, and Abi agreed, telling him she would pack the remainder of her belongings and leave immediately.
Abi stumbled upon hidden baby-daddy Imran and his oblivious fiancée Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) when she ventured out into the night, and they offered her a room for the night. But an agitated Imran made excuses, and Abi swiftly walked away.
