Coronation Street Simon Barlow star, 20, announces engagement to girlfriend Mollie

Actor Alex Bain of Coronation Street proposed to his girlfriend Mollie Lockwood.

During a romantic date night last year, the 20-year-old actor proposed to Mollie, 19, but he was able to keep the news from fans until now.

The couple, who have been dating for two years, has chosen to inform the world of their wonderful news.

I’m talking to OK! “If I don’t do it now, I’ll keep growing more and more frightened,” stated Alex. Even though I was very positive she would say yes, I was still failing.

I am unable to live my life with anyone else.

Alex proposed in October of last year, according to Mollie, and they told their loved ones during the Christmas break two months later.

When Lydia-Rose Selby, the daughter of Alex’s ex-girlfriend Levi Selby, was born at age 17, Alex became a father.

The ITV star has said in the past that his work on Coronation Street saved him.

Corrie has kept me going, and having a daughter in particular has kept me going because it gives me something to do, he said.

“I would have been lost if I hadn’t stuck with the job that I’m in now.”

Alex worried fans earlier this year when he posted on Instagram to let them know he’d been hospitalized.

After receiving numerous messages from worried friends, followers, and loved ones, he subsequently followed up with a reassuring post.

Instead, he posted a picture of a waiting area and wrote, “Not where I anticipated to end up tonight.”

“Don’t worry fellas, it’s just my ankle,” also said.

The soap star posted on social media to confirm that he was flying out of Manchester Airport, suggesting that his injuries couldn’t have been too serious.

Alex posted a selfie on social media with the message, “Time to test if I’ve still got my flight legs or anything like that,” despite still being permitted to fly.

The actor was seen being wheeled around while he waited to board his flight in a different update, and it was obvious that he had injured his foot.

Alex thanked the “friendly personnel” at the airport for helping him on his vacation as his ankle was also wrapped up in an orthopaedic grey leg brace.

Got a nice new set of wheels, Alex wrote.

Since starting in 2008, Alex has spent 12 years on Coronation Street, acting as Ken Barlow’s (William Roache) grandson.

Both the British Soap Awards in 2011 and the Inside Soap Awards in 2004, he received the Best Young Soap Performance award.
