Coronation Street rocked as boss teases another major death after Kelly Neelan trial

Residents of CORONATION STREET have been waiting weeks to learn whether Corey Brent and Kelly Neelan will be found guilty of Seb Franklin’s killing. However, as their trial draws to a close, another murder may occur.

Abi Franklin (Sally Carman), a Coronation Street resident, has been desperate to achieve justice for her son Seb’s death for weeks (Harry Visinoni). Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) and Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) have both testified as witnesses to Seb’s attack on the night of the incident. The verdict in Corey Brent’s (Maximus Evans) and Kelly Neelan’s (Millie Gibson) trial will be revealed on Friday night’s program. However, it appears that Abi may not receive the news she was hoping for, as actress Sally has hinted that there will be more turmoil in the future.

If Corey and Kelly are found not guilty of murdering Seb, Abi will go on the offensive and seek her own justice.

The actress has warned that everything will not just come to a head after Corey and Kelly’s verdict is delivered, but that there will be additional dramatic sequences to surpass the infamous 2010 tram tragedy.

“There are a lot of beans coming up,” she said at the National Television Awards, “some beans that might be something you’ve never seen before from Coronation Street, that could equal the tram crash.”

“It’s incredible you’re going to have your socks and hair blown off.”

“We have attempted to look at the last 12 months and the constrained way soaps have been obliged to present tales and we wanted to disrupt that,” Iain MacLeod told the Daily Star.

“We’re back – the classic births, deaths, and marriages are going to be large. It will be cinematic, and it will be massive.”

When asked if cherished characters would die, Iain teased, “I mean, yes…”

It’s unclear who will die, but if Abi wants to wreak retribution, she might go too far.

Is Abi capable of murdering Kelly or Corey? Could she endangering her partner Kevin Webster’s (Michael Le Vell) son Jack?

If Abi relapsed as a result of the anguish of losing Seb, Jack could come across her drugs and make a terrible decision.

The ITV soap is notorious for its riveting festive storylines, so fans can expect to witness these dramatic sequences as early as Christmas.

Kelly, however, is expected to be found guilty, according to the newest serial spoilers, since her lawyer, Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo), is laden with guilt.

Mia, Kelly’s inmate, has also been teased, implying that she will spend some time in prison.

Official spoilers have been released. Imran informs Toyah (Georgia Taylor) that he has engaged a psychologist for Kelly using the last of the money from the anonymous donor, and that he will make up the difference.

Meanwhile, Kelly unwillingly joins the support group after being urged by fellow inmate Mia.

On Thursday night, Coronation Street took home the trophy for Best Serial Drama at the National Television Awards.

“Oh my gosh, thank you so much for voting for us, it means everything it really, truly does,” Sally remarked of the victory.

“As you all know, the past year has been really difficult with lockdown, and we’ve worked extremely hard in every department. Everyone involved in the production: the performers, the staff, the make-up department, and everyone else. Coronation Street is a true collaborative effort.”

“Thank you so much on behalf of everyone at Coronation Street, this means everything,” she added. Thank you very much!”
