Coronation Street reveals George and Todd’s horror as Phelan returns to cause chaos

Next week on Coronation Street, George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) is in for a rude awakening when Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pearce) finds an unnerving discovery.

While George attends to more serious things, Todd is tasked with cleaning out the funeral parlour’s rear room.

Meanwhile, Eileen (Sue Cleaver) drops over to talk to her son after seeing how distraught he was following an altercation with Bernie Winter (Jane Hazelgrove) earlier that day.

She gives him coffee in the hopes of cheering him up, but she is rendered speechless as Todd comes from the back, yelling obscenities at George.

Todd instantly changes his tune when he realizes his mother is around, claiming that he saw a large spider that irritated him.

But it’s evident that he’s discovered something troubling, something he’d rather his mother didn’t know about.

Todd’s reaction perplexed Eileen, who reminded him that he’d never been afraid of spiders before, forcing the young guy to do what he does best: improvise.

Todd reveals what’s really upsetting him after successfully getting rid of Eileen, as he rails at George over a discovery he made in the back room.

‘I’m not afraid of spiders,’ Todd explains, ‘but I am afraid of serial killers!’

‘Especially those who used to be married to my mother!

‘How did you end up with Pat Phelan’s ashes?’
