Coronation Street Leo star’s sweet tribute to grandmother after emotional ITV soap exit

Following his departure from the ITV program Coronation Street earlier this year, actor Joe Frost has shared a touching homage to his grandmother.

Leo Thompkins, the character Joe is best known for portraying on the venerable soap opera, suffered his tragic end in September when he was ruthlessly slain by Stephen Reid.

Joe expressed his gratitude to the show for allowing him to be a part of the incredible production on Instagram while also giving a shout-out to his grandmother.

The celebrity captioned his mirror snapshot while donning a blue puffer jacket as follows: “Oooft. Such a ride…

“A hellish year that started out as six weeks. A young man from the North West’s dream has come true.

“I can’t express my gratitude to the @coronationstreet crew enough for allowing me to leave my mark on the cobblestones. (This one was intended for Gran.)”

“Now, how’s that sinkhole looking?” he continued.

Fans sent their good wishes for Joe in the comment section, saying that the show wouldn’t be the same without him.

“So terrible what happened I truly liked you in Corrie,” one fan wrote.

It won’t be the same without you, good luck in the future, said another.

Another added: “You were incredible! What a performer, it hurts to see you go.”

A fourth disgruntled viewer wrote in the meantime: “You will be sorely missed. The absence of you has been felt. I assumed that by now, the cops would have located your body.”

Leo and Jenny Connor were scheduled to depart the fabled Cobbles for Canada earlier this year, but things didn’t go as planned.

While on the street, the civil engineer began to have doubts about Stephen’s intentions and was suspicious of him.

Leo was the only Corrie resident who followed Stephen’s movements and realized he was up to no good and wanted to get his hands on his mother Audrey’s money.

In light of the fact that Stephen realized Leo was spying on him, he felt compelled to fire him.

Stephen ultimately ended up throwing Leo into trash cans as the two men argued on a construction balcony outside the plant. Stephen’s body was later hidden, and it hasn’t been discovered since.

Fans are anxiously awaiting the outcome as the mystery has still not been solved and Stephen has not yet received his due punishment.
