Coronation Street icon Julie Hesmondhalgh heaps praise on ‘outstanding’ husband for acid attack episode

Legendary writer Ian Kershaw of Monday’s episode of the ITV soap opera Coronation Street, who saw Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still) attack Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) with acid, has been lauded by Julie Hesmondhalgh of Coronation Street.

Stalker With the purpose of making Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) the victim, Justin returned to Weatherfield. But, when he flung the liquid in her direction, Ryan leaped in front of her.

As Justin walked away, Daisy was forced to phone 911 and bring Ryan into the shower in the hopes that the cool water might at least partially save the facial tissue.

Both Coronation Street viewers and Julie, who is best known for playing Hayley Cropper, gave the episode high marks.

I can only watch snippets of tonight’s #Corrie, which was written by my wonderful spouse @IanKershaw, because I’m away from home. crying in an American park. Excellent job by Kersh, the director, the cast, and the crew. Just incredible,” she tweeted.

Ryan Prescott, another admirer of Ian’s amazing work, recently remarked: “He’s a terrific writer, one of my favorites, he really manages to pull a lot of truth into sequences and still allow room for the actors to find the subtext.”

There is a lot of potential for creativity surrounding it; it’s not all black and white, and I believe he writes that way naturally. I thought the writings were fantastic; they’re truly excellent.

Following her departure from Corrie, Julie went on to appear in a number of different TV programs, including BBC One’s The Pact, ITV’s Broadchurch, and The A Word, which followed an autistic boy named Joe (Max Vento) as he dealt with growing up, attending school, and dealing with his parents’ divorce. Julie also played Heather in the third season of The A Word.
