Coronation Street Chesney star Sam Aston’s wife shares rare family snap of lookalike son
Actor Sam Aston from Coronation Street recently shared a precious old photo of his son who looks just like him.
The 29-year-old actor, who portrays Chesney Brown in the ITV serial opera, and his wife Briony are the proud parents of two kids: a daughter named Daisy Josephine, who was born in May, and a son named Sonny.
Briony, a yoga instructor, recently shared pictures on Instagram to celebrate Sonny’s second birthday.
Alongside the image, she wrote: “”Our adorable boy turned 2 today. I’ve never seen a baby look so much like their father at such a young age—only he’s two days old in this picture.”
The picture of Baby Sonny with a blanket around him shows him with his eyes still closed.
Two years ago, when the couple had their kid, Sam posted a picture of himself kissing the child’s head with his wife by his side.
At the moment, he wrote: “Little man, welcome to the world. Our lone sunshine ray. James Sonny Aston”
Sam and Briony were engaged for two years before getting married in 2019.

As young, infatuated teenagers, they started corresponding online, and romance quickly developed.
He told the Mirror, “Briony and I met when I was approximately 15 or 16.”
“We bonded, but we were still very young. She always wants to bring up how I terminated it.
“We didn’t have cars because we were so young, and we lived quite a distance from one another.
They rapidly rekindled their flame, and things started to get very serious.
Added him: “We were both volunteering at the same acting workshop three to four years later. I first attended Carol Godby’s acting school when I was a little child.
“Briony was in the room next to mine while I was instructing. When I first entered, I believe she may have given me a peculiar look, but we quickly moved past that and started conversing right immediately.
“The only thing we did that evening was eat at a local tavern. Since then, we have been a couple.”
