As Nick Tilsley puts his son Sam’s life in peril
As part of the schedule alterations, the ITV soap has revealed that a rare Sunday episode will air in the second week of Euro 2020.
It is going to see Dad. After a henchman of drug dealer Harvey shoots at them both, Nick Tilsley puts his kid Sam in jeopardy.
The opera will air on different days and times than usual throughout the football competition, which will disappoint viewers.
To make up for the inconveniences, Weatherfield fans will be rewarded to an hour-long episode on Sunday, June 20 at 8pm on ITV.
On Monday, June 21 at 9 p.m., Corrie will return with a new hour-long episode.
On Wednesday, June 23 at 9 p.m., and Friday, June 25 at 7.30 p.m., there will be additional hour-long episodes.
It comes ahead of the revelation that during Euro 2020, Corrie and Emmerdale would both be available on ITV Hub as weekly binge-worthy boxsets.
From June 14, the two ITV soaps will release their whole week’s episodes online on Mondays, allowing viewers to watch whenever they choose and avoiding the football tournament’s disruption.
the Boss of Coronation Street said: “There are loads of key rivalries across the Cobbles this summer and I think it will be like following your favorite team – there will be times where they let you down, make mistakes and maybe score a few own goals.
“But you’ll back them till the end and woe betide anyone else who criticises them.
“Given how exciting the stories are, it’s great that fans will have the chance to binge watch all the episodes on ITV Hub at the start of each week – as with football, sometimes when it’s an exciting face-off, you really want extra time.”
The ITV soaps will be joined by rival EastEnders, which will be available for three weeks on the BBC’s I Player on Mondays.
