8 Coronation Street upcoming week spoilers

1. Amy vows to expose Aaron for who he is

Amy confronts Aaron’s ex-girlfriend Mia at the garage and accuses her of sexually assaulting her. Amy assures Abi Webster that she is telling the truth while Mia, who is astonished, accuses her of lying.

After Mia confronts Aaron about Amy’s claim, he admits that they once had sex but that Amy afterwards changed her mind and the police dropped the case after she claimed rape.

While DS Swain (Vicky Myers) meets Amy and informs her that a serious complaint of harassment has been made about her, Mia is horrified that Amy is allegedly dragging Aaron’s name through the gutter.

Dad Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), who sees Amy’s outrage at the injustice of it all, pushes her to upload her document online as she begins to write about her terrible experience.

Amy complies, and as the week progresses, Tyrone Dobbs and Abi Dobbs inform Aaron that they have read Amy’s online post and that he is free to look for other employment. Eric, Aaron’s father, threatens Amy with retaliation and declares that he will sue her for libel. Then Amy receives a letter from Eric’s attorney warning her to remove the post or face legal action.

While lawyer Dee Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) cautions that a libel case may cost a fortune, Steve advises his daughter to stand by her convictions. Amy’s mother Tracy (Kate Ford) is adamant that they would fight it to the bitter end, but she and Steve subsequently come to the realization that they may need to sell their businesses to pay the legal bills.

When Aaron and Eric see their lawyer, the latter cautions them about the dangers of coming to court. Tracy sets up an appraisal for the florists, but will the clan press the matter? Will Aaron ever accept responsibility for what he did to Amy?

2. Craig catches Faye with Jackson?

When Miley expresses to her mother Faye how much she will miss her when she and father Jackson relocate to Slough, Faye suppresses her feelings.

Faye is under pressure from Miley to follow them, though.

Craig informs Faye that he has been awarded a secondment with CID in the meanwhile. In order to surprise Craig and celebrate his accomplishment, Faye enlists the aid of Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston), Sally Metcalfe (her stepmother), Lisa George as Craig’s mother Beth Sutherland, and Sally Dynevor as her stepmother. But later, Jackson, Miley, and Faye’s brother Gary Windass (Mikey North) convince Faye to assist with the youngster’s family tree project.

Gary notices the moment between Faye and Jackson as she basks in Jackson’s admiration. Faye continues to carry out Craig’s celebration arrangements, while Gary questions his sister about her true emotions.

Jackson allegedly wanted to kiss Faye, but Jackson refused because Faye preferred Craig to him. Gary isn’t persuaded, so he entices Jackson and Faye to the furniture store so they would discuss.

Jackson warns Faye against choosing Craig over him, and when Craig arrives at the Bistro, he finds everyone waiting for him—except for Faye. Jackson is being urged by Faye to hide, so he phones her when he hears her phone ringing at the furniture store and rushes over. Will Jackson and Faye avoid being seen by Craig?

Daniel hands Max his phone back at the STC and tells him there is a message from David on it, which Max hears to later. Daniel is informed by Max that he has watched David’s message for him but has not yet recorded a response. Will Max be able to talk to his dad honestly, or is their relationship too strained?

4. Daisy’s plan to help Ryan spirals

Daisy visits Ryan after Daniel implores her to tell him she pretended to be Crystal in their text messages. Ryan, however, who is still recovering from his acid attack ordeal, makes it plain that he doesn’t need her sympathy as he has Crystal on his side.

This makes it more difficult for Daisy to admit to lying, and when Carla Barlow (Alison King) visits Ryan later in the week, Ryan is pleased to hear from “Crystal” once more.
